In anticipation of the "Marathon der Tiere"-Filmfestival 2017 in Zürich, I composed a soundtrack for three animated shorts by Winsor McCay, one of the first animators of the early twentieth century. The magical theme and melancholic feel of the animations suited my personal music style very well. I used classical instruments such as piano, violin and cello and distorted them into electronic compositions, hopefully properly bringing across the fairylike and sometimes dysphoric impressions of the animated movies. The musician, Wilhelm Matthies provided a sample of his Mosesa instrument in "Set two" and AN MOKU provided piano recordings in "Set three" and "Encore".

 En preparation du "Marathon der Tiere"-Filmfestival 2017 à Zürich, j'ai composé une bande-son pour trois courts métrages d'animation de Winsor McCay, l'un des premiers animateurs au début du XXe siècle. Le thème magique et la sensation mélancolique des animations convenaient très bien à mon style de musique personnel. J'ai utilisé des instruments classiques tels que le piano, le violon et le violoncelle et je les ai déformés en compositions électroniques, ce qui, je l'espère, a correctement fait ressortir les impressions féeriques et parfois dysphoriques des films d'animation.
