The works from this album were composed with primitive sequencers and not very fancy gear (except for "ckone", which was a late addition, and the first track I made when I finally got a Cirklon!). I wanted to reintroduce myself to composing after a long hiatus. This return to music began as a break from my work as a visual artist: I needed to create some space that had nothing to do with my career as a painter, or the PhD program I had just entered. Since I was usually exhausted after long days at school, the sounds became a kind of calming therapy for me, even if there is a level of anxiety bubbling under the mellow tones.
